Privacy Policy

  • Steward reads iRacing telemetry on your PC. Your reports are saved on your own computer.
  • To analyse an incident, the incident data is sent to our servers and analysed by AI.
  • Nothing is shared with a league until you accept it in the app, and you can leave at any time.
  • We do not sell your data and the website has no ads, analytics or tracking cookies.

Who we are

Steward (steward.gg) is an incident analysis app for iRacing. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].

What the app uses

  • iRacing telemetry. Steward reads the data iRacing makes available to apps through its official SDK (the same data used by overlays). It does not access your iRacing account or password.
  • License and device. Your access key and a random device identifier, used to activate Steward and keep the key tied to one computer.
  • Incident analysis. When an incident happens, the incident data (session details, the cars involved and their telemetry around the contact, which may include driver names) is sent to our servers and analysed by AI to produce the verdict.
  • Report verification. For each report we keep its ID, verification code and a summary without driver names, so anyone holding the report can check it at steward.gg/verify.
  • Diagnostics and accuracy. Error reports and SR Trend samples (incidents, corners and Safety Rating before and after a race) help us fix problems and improve accuracy.
  • On your PC only. The PDF reports, your history and your settings stay on your computer.

Leagues

If you join a league in Steward, the app first shows what will be shared and asks for your consent. Only after you accept, the league's administrators and stewards can see:

  • your name and iRacing customer ID, and your car number;
  • when Steward is open and when you are in a league session;
  • for each incident in a league session: car telemetry from the seconds before the contact (speed, track position, heading and g-forces), the AI verdict and the fault share;
  • clean laps, used without your name to draw the track map.

Incidents from races outside the league are never shared. Each league only sees its own data. You can leave a league at any time in League Connection, and nothing else is shared from then on. If the terms change, the app asks for your consent again.

The website

steward.gg does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Your language choice may be remembered in your own browser. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and the fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Who processes data for us

We use these providers to run Steward: Supabase (database and servers), Google (AI analysis and fonts), Cloudflare (website and email forwarding), Resend (sending emails) and GitHub (app downloads). Their servers may be located outside your country.

What we never do

  • We do not sell or rent your data.
  • We do not use your data for advertising.
  • We do not share your data with a league without your consent.

How long we keep data

We keep data only as long as it is needed to provide Steward. League data is kept while the league uses it or until you ask us to delete it. When deleted, your name, iRacing ID and telemetry are removed; the league's incident and decision history remains, anonymised.

Your rights

Under the Brazilian LGPD, the European GDPR and similar laws, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within 15 days.

Changes

We will update this page when anything changes, with a new date at the top. Changes to what is shared with leagues always require your consent again in the app.
